A Historic Landmark
The historic Shuler Theater in downtown Raton, New Mexico, is a state landmark and remains the center for performing arts in northeastern New Mexico. Visit the historic Shuler Theater for its one-of-a-kind WPA murals, original stage scenery, and international performing arts schedule.
The theater is owned and maintained by the City of Raton, New Mexico, and may be reserved for functions or performances by contacting the city offices at 575-445-9551.
Santa Fe Trail School for the Performing Arts & Raton Youth Theater
The Santa Fe Trail School for the Performing Arts is resident in the theater and sponsors the Raton Youth Theater, annual performances of A Christmas Carol during the holiday season, and a summer repertory season featuring professional productions of four different plays and musicals. All performances are held in the Shuler Theater.
